Chill local place to drink with the homies after work.
Prices are cheap & karaoke is live if you're about that life.
I like the place, good for pregames it's local which is a plus.
Bartenders are nice, it gets crowded and ppl get drunk and they deal with it pretty nicely. You will have to wait but you will be served and treated with respect.
Unlike the city.
One of the bartenders usually there on a Friday/Sat night is amazing. She sings while making drinks and serving customers. Love her.
Overall a good time,
The only reason I won't spend all night there is b/c it isn't as diverse as other bars.
They do get a diverse crowd, it's in Elmhurst for Pete's sake. But still predominantly Irish diversity in ages
In color and talent. But you know what don't let that stop ya, it's cultural diffusion
Plus Irish whiskey is the best!
Don't go in thinking you're gonna get lucky, it's a lot of ppl & you do get fucked up but this place and its regulars have values.
As always Keep it real grandstand! -

Came on a Friday night. Wanted to get some work done in a upbeat but relatively calm place. Grandstand hit the spot.
$6 Sam Adams draft and $4 Bud light bottle? Reasonable.
Chicken fingers? Awesome! Crispness and juicy center were dead giveaways that they weren't from Costco. Came with a sweet and spicy sauce that had my tongue lot so I asked for a honey mustard sauce. A generous portion that didn't hold back on quality. I'm all for it.
Service is friendly, atmosphere is perfect for first-timers, and food was pretty good. To boot, it was karaoke Friday and the first song to be sung was Semi-charmed life. I'm sold and I'll be back.
Perhaps my only gripe was how my initial waitress seemed to have forgotten u honey mustard so I had to ask again. Also, my bar waitress forgot I paid for a portion of my night with cash. But she quickly apologized and paid me back in cash. Not bad, all's forgotten.
See you soon, Grandstand! -

Decent place to grab a drink and watch people sing songs during Karaoke nights! Bartenders are pretty nice and easygoing but you sometimes have to beg for their attention when it's busy. The food I haven't been able to try yet because I seem to always arrive after the restaurant closes which sucks because I like to nibble on food while I'm getting drunk. I will try and return again sometime soon and make sure that I get there early enough to order some food from the restaurant.

One night, the bartender is really slick. Kept pouring my group more and more shots saying it was a gift from the bar then gives us the tab which was way more than expected to pay. We didn't complain or make a fuss on what was givento us, we paid the bill and tipped well with no hesitation. But that will be the first and last time going there.
Service is suppose to be given as requested, not to a bartender's delight to when he feels it appropriate to keep charging us for unwanted drinks on his own terms. That's just bad customer relations.
I'm a local and i want to support local businesses, but sometimes it's not worth it. Thank you, but no thanks. -
